Dr. Bernard Kim
Co-Owner + Chiropractor
Before returning to his Vancouver roots, Dr. Bernard worked as an associate Chiropractor at the renowned “OC Fight Docs” in Southern California where he worked with a wide range of patients from children and seniors, to professional athletes and Hollywood stars (UFC, Bellator, NFL, CFL, NHL, NLL, NCAA, and Olympic level). Dr. Bernard became interested in sports therapy from a young age having to rehabilitate through numerous knee and ankle injuries sustained while playing lacrosse.
This experience led him to pursue his Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Physiology and Kinesiology, with a concentration in Active Health and Rehabilitation from Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia. He then went on to complete his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic West Campus in San Jose, California.
Specializing in soft tissue therapies and individualized corrective exercises, Dr. Bernard uses a wide variety of techniques to maximize optimal function and performance: instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), Active Release Technique (ART), chiropractic adjustments/joint mobilizations, percussion therapy, cupping, and functional movement-based screenings to identify biomechanical dysfunctions.
Striving to create the most educational and evidence-based approach to his care, Dr. Bernard is constantly furthering his skills with post-graduate certifications. He is currently a certified Functional Range Conditioning Mobility Specialist (FRCms), a Functional Movement Techniques Rocktape Medical Professional, and a Full-Body Certified A.R.T.© provider. He is also a course instructor for HawkGrips – the premier company in instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM).
Mr. Ryan Lasaleta RMT
CO-OWNER + MASSAGE THERAPIST
Prior to his journey into the world as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT), Ryan acquired an extensive foundation training others in the health and fitness industry. Ryan obtained his Bachelor of Kinesiology (BSKin) degree from UBC, and on top of performing Kinesiology work, Ryan has been actively involved in Personal Training (Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology), Sports First Aid (BC Sports First Aid), Functional movement training (Coaching Association of Canada), and Coaching various youth sports.
Ryan’s style includes various dynamic techniques in his soft tissue treatment along with research based protocols to help patients return and maintain their functional health. Additionally, Ryan keeps pace with current research methods while maintaining true to his athletic roots in order to become the optimal therapist in this contemporary and competitive health industry.
Even though Ryan takes an orthopedic approach to treatment, he is trained in Myofasical Release, Sport Specific Massage, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Manual Lymph Drainage, and mild Joint Mobilizations. Additionally, he has experience with athletes in all walks of life from the amatrue to the professional and international levels. Ryan has had the opportunity to work with professional soccer players, football, rugby, long distance athletes, strength athletes and MMA fighters.
Since Ryan has advanced through his career he now teaches at Vancouver Career College; He teaches the Orthopedic sports injury classes, Sports treatment, assists with various school outreaches and helps with board exam prep.
Dr. Ali Ravji
Chiropractor
Dr. Ali Ravji obtained his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University (SFU). His experience with Chiropractic began after sustaining a shoulder injury in undergrad that led him to obtain his Doctor of Chiropractic at the prestigious Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Toronto, Ontario. He then went on to work with MSK Health & Performance upon graduation, while being mentored by the chiropractor for the Vancouver Canucks.
His interests lies in assessing, diagnosing and improving human movement. He uses a unique combination of manual therapy and integrates it with various soft tissue techniques and rehabilitative/corrective exercises. He uses a hand on approach to help release tight muscles/joints with techniques such as Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), Myofascial Release Therapy, Cupping therapy, spinal manipulation/mobilization and Percussion Therapy. He also has certifications in Functional Range Conditioning Mobility Specialist (FRCms), Athletic Movement Assessment (AMA), Functional Release (FR), and Fascial Distortion Model (FDM).
Ali is proud to serve his hometown of Burnaby, BC. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys playing hockey, hiking, cooking and spending time with his family.
Dr. Meghan Soni
Chiropractor
Dr. Meghan Soni received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the University of Western States in and has a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University. She also completed a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from the University of Western States.
Meghan has a passion for women’s health and rehabilitation, and has over 5 years of experience in the healthcare industry, including working as a Lab Assistant in Anatomical Pathology. At Strike Recovery and Performance, Meghan specializes in helping patients, particularly women, improve their physical health and performance through chiropractic care and rehabilitation. She approaches chiropractic care by looking at the individual as a whole, considering both lifestyle and history in order to provide care that includes manual therapy, active rehab, lifestyle modification, and even back to sport coaching. Her ultimate goal is to help people live healthy, active lives and achieve their full potential.
In her free time, Meghan enjoys fashion catalogues, weight lifting at the gym and trying new restaurants as a foodie. She also has a background in dance and believes that a healthy lifestyle and regular exercise are crucial for both physical and mental well-being.
Meghan is dedicated to providing high-quality care to her patients at Strike Recovery and Performance, She is always looking for ways to improve and grow as a healthcare professional.
Adam Chin

Growing up playing a variety of sports, Adam has always had an interest in rehab and performance. Following this interest he completed his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University and went on to pursue his Master of Physical Therapy at the University of British Columbia.
Adam is passionate about helping people reach their full potential and giving them the tools to live healthy and active lives. His treatment approach focuses on the individual, using a multifactorial approach and tailoring a treatment plan to help his patients reach their goals. While Adam enjoys working with clients of all activity levels and backgrounds he has a particular interest in lower body injuries, Crossfit/Olympic Lifting/Weighting athletes and post-operative rehabilitation, including ACL rehabilitation. As a lifelong learner Adam has pursued post-graduate education in IMS/Dry needling, Functional Movement Screening and is currently in the process of completing his Diploma of Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy through the Orthopedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
Outside the clinic Adam enjoys living an active lifestyle, exploring BC’s beautiful backyard or checking out a new coffee shop.

Lizzie graduated from Capilano University with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology. Born and raised in the lower mainland, Lizzie grew up in the world of competitive cheerleading and knows first hand how an injury can feel like a setback in the sports world. With an extensive history of dealing with personal injuries, Lizzie has an intimate understanding of wanting to make a full recovery as fast as possible. As an athlete, Lizzie learned time and time again that strengthening exercises were the most effective component in her rehabilitation program, getting her back to her best performance, while also building resilience against future injuries. Lizzie is committed to partnering with her clients to develop customized treatment plans that align with their individual goals, empowering them to recover, and feel their best.
Manna Sandhu
Physiotherapist
Manna knows the benefits of physiotherapy firsthand. He sustained a lower-back injury when he was fourteen. Medications failed to take away the pain, so he visited a physiotherapist, who treated him and gave him a plethora of chances at competitive sport. After competing in AAA boys high school basketball, competitive roller hockey and BC touch football, Manna went on to attain his Master of Physical Therapy at the University of
British Columbia (UBC) to give others the same second chance he was given as a young athlete through education, manual therapy and active rehabilitation.
Manna Sandhu has been involved in sport for most of his life and currently provides physiotherapy support for a broad range of athletes including the Field Hockey Canada senior women’s national team, Surrey Knights (Junior A hockey) & the World Kickboxing XTRM pro stable of fighters. In addition to treating orthopaedic injuries, Manna also specializes in concussion management, vestibular disorders and has attained additional
training in dry needling & advanced manual therapy (Level 3).
In his spare time, Manna plays basketball and practices martial arts to embody an active lifestyle and continue to fuel his passion for sport.
Justine Charlston

Justine is a graduate of the West Coast College of Massage Therapy and holds a Diploma in Human Kinetics – Physical Education from Capilano University. Before she became an RMT, Justine worked as a certified Personal Trainer through CSEP and a Nutrition Coach with Precision Nutrition.
Born and raised in Vancouver, BC, Justine’s grew up as a competitive figure skater which sparked her passion for sports rehabilitation and injury prevention. This experience shaped her dedication to helping clients achieve optimal performance and recovery through a comprehensive, whole-body approach. Justine strives to collaborate with her clients to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their individual needs and goals, ensuring they stay at the top of their game.
Outside of work Justine enjoys spending time at the gym, exploring new recipes in the kitchen, and embracing the outdoors through camping adventures.
Dr. KD Athwal

Dr. Karandeep Athwal began his academic journey at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia, where he completed three years toward a Bachelor of Science degree before earning his Doctor of Chiropractic with honours from Palmer College of Chiropractic West Campus in San Jose, California.
His interest in sports therapy began after rehabilitating from a serious ankle injury at a young age. This interest was reinforced while working for the BC Athletic commission where he was exposed to combat sports athletes who consistently put their bodies on the line and prioritized both injury rehabilitation and preventative care to maintain peak performance.
Focusing on an evidence based approach, Dr. Athwal’s treatment prioritizes soft tissue therapies and corrective exercises. He uses a variety of techniques such as Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), Active Release Techniques (ART), Myofascial decompression cupping (MFD), spinal and extremity manipulation/mobilization and Percussion Therapy. He is a member of the International Federation of Sports Chiropractic (FICS) and is currently working towards earning his International Certificate in Sports Chiropractic (ICSC).

Makeo Wong

Makeo comes from an athletic background and is a former Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), where he excelled in coaching his clients in powerlifting and injury rehabilitation. His desire to deepen his expertise in injury recovery and rehabilitation led him to transition into Massage Therapy.
As a Registered Massage Therapist, Makeo now focuses on treating injuries and restoring functionality, using a combination of techniques such as Myofascial Release, Joint Mobilizations, Sports Massage, and Trigger Point Release. With a deep understanding of human anatomy and a keen ability to identify the root causes of pain, he helps clients recover, reduce pain, and improve mobility.

Wilfred is a physiotherapist with a Doctor of Physiotherapy degree from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia. He takes a comprehensive approach to care, combining manual therapy, dry needling/IMS, and targeted exercise prescription to support clients in achieving their goals. With a strong belief in client empowerment, Wilfred emphasizes education and evidence-based strategies, helping individuals not only recover from injury but also build the confidence and tools to stay active and healthy in the long term. His clinical interests include post-surgical rehabilitation—particularly joint replacements and fractures—as well as the management of shoulder and knee injuries. Wilfred also has advanced vestibular rehabilitation training to help clients with dizziness and balance difficulties.
Yuti Pan
Physiotherapist
Yuti graduated from the University of Sydney with a Master of Physiotherapy degree. Prior to that, he completed his Bachelor of Science at Simon Fraser University. As a competitive athlete growing up in Taiwan, Yuti understands that physiotherapy is an integral part of injury prevention, rehabilitation, and overall health and wellness. With his passion for sports, Yuti served as a sports trainer for Simon Fraser NCAA Men’s Basketball and Football team, and the New Westminster Salmonbellies Jr. A lacrosse Team.
Yuti tailors treatment plans to each individual using a holistic approach. Yuti combines manual therapy and exercise to help his clients to achieve optimal health.
He has experience working with a wide variety of patients, including competitive athletes to individuals with neurological disorders.
Chiara Locascio

Chiara is a Registered Massage Therapist and graduate of Vancouver College of Massage Therapy (2022). Growing up in Vancouver, she spent many years as a professional dancer, competing internationally in ballet, jazz, and contemporary dance, which fostered a deep appreciation for movement, recovery, and the connection between mind and body. Her passion for health and fitness ultimately led her to pursue a career in massage therapy.
Chiara believes that no two patients are the same and tailors each treatment to the individual’s needs and goals. Her treatment style is intuitive, firm, and fluid, blending Swedish massage, trigger point therapy, Muscle Energy Technique and stretching to help her patients recover from injuries, achieve their health goals and improve overall quality of life. Chiara strives to create a welcoming, safe, and positive environment where every patient feels comfortable, supported, and cared for.
